Scenic Landscapes

Butterflies on Stage

A small landscape of about one foot by one foot where Yellowtail and Blacktail butterflies got all giddy about a puddle of water and mud almost dried up. They were near a river bank where I was taking a hike. I saw them flitting and flopping almost like they got into the spiced cider while drinking up all the water they could get. The mud wasn’t very attractive to show them off. It’s not often to see a cluster of bright, bold, and beautiful butterflies in one place. I created a bright and cheery, almost abstract, stage for them to dance their wilds away.
